I have a number of writing contest listings to share with you again this week.  To make this column more user friendly, I will group the contests by writing category from now on.  When applicable, I’ll include a “Multiple Categories” section for those contests that seek entries in, well, multiple categories, so you may want to scan them as well.

Aeon Award for Short Fiction

 

International contest for short fiction in any speculative genre, i.e. fantasy, SF, horror or anything in between or unclassifiable

 

Prizes: €1,000 and publication in Albedo One.  Second and third place prizes are 200 and 100 euro.

Deadline: Four rounds throughout the year–first round deadline is March 31st, the second round June 30th, the third round September 30th and the final round November 30th.
